Deed restrictions variance review policy:

1) The SGHA board must receive the resident request for any variance to the current SGHA deed restrictions (ie: new fence, pool, shed, deck, home addition, and storage of recreation vehicles, etc.) in writing from the homeowner with a proposed detailed plan and description.

2) The homeowner is invited to make a presentation at the next SGHA board meeting to outline the proposed change or variance to their property.

3) The SGHA board reviews the resident plans and visits the site between board meetings. If there are any questions the board members will direct them to the homeowner and report back to the board at the next
meeting.

4) The SGHA board holds any discussion and a vote on the issue at the meeting without the homeowner present (closed vote). A board member cannot vote if there exists a conflict of interest.

5) Within a week of the SGHA vote/decision by the SGHA board, a letter is mailed to the resident communicating the results of the board decision.
